WMIA is currently seeking nominations for its 10th Annual Partner of the Year Award. The award is presented to the manufacturer or importer that best exemplifies the spirit of partnership while working with woodworking machinery distributors. The program emphasizes the principle of steadfast cooperation between distributors and their equipment suppliers.

WMIA is looking to its member distributors to nominate their suppliers as candidates for the award. Candidates are judged on 30 criteria in five broad categories. To review the criteria and download a nomination form, click here. Nominations must be received by January 31, 2003.

The winning company must be a member of WMIA or WMMA. The winner will be chosen by a vote of WMIA's Selection Committee (distributor members on the WMIA Marketing Committee) and the award will be presented at the 2003 Woodworking Industry Conference, April 9-12 in St. Petersburg, Fla.

The number of distributors a candidate has is not a factor in the selection. The scores submitted by voting WMIA distributors are averaged so that suppliers represented by two or three distributors have the same opportunity to be recognized as those selling through a dozen dealers.

It is important that each WMIA distributor nominate at least one of its suppliers for this award. Who has done the best job partnering with you in the last 12 months?
