WMIA Donates $10,000 for Hurricane
Relief
The Woodworking Machinery Industry
Association donated $10,000 to the American Red Cross last month to aid
in the relief of victims of Hurricane Katrina. The contribution was
authorized by WMIA, which recognized a
significant need for relief and felt an obligation to help the storm's
survivors.

Architectural Woodwork Institute Annual Meeting/Convention will be held

The Cayce Company in Hunt Valley,
Maryland held an open house October 6-8. The open house featured an
expanded display area for consumers, more than 7,000 of whom were
invited to the event. Additionally, 4,000 members of the woodworking
community were invited and it was very well attended.
The open house featured
demonstrations of the latest high technology woodworking equipment
carried by the Cayce Company. Many importer members represented by
Cayce attended the event.

Guhdo has added new profile grinding equipment to

we work within our own communities and national agencies to do what we

providing help. The Cabinet Makers Association and Architectural
Woodwork Institute are reaching out to fellow woodworkers to help
displaced industry members, especially with their job and/or work
situations to get them through this crisis.
