WMIA Marketing Initiative Moves
Forward
WMIA continues to move forward on its
marketing effort to network with its members' customers and
spreading the message to Re-Educate, Re-Engineer and Re-Tool with
WMIA-member machinery. WMIA sponsored signs and had a booth at the
Architectural Woodwork Institute's convention in October.
Sourcebooks and Shop Guides were distributed.
WMIA also sponsored educational
sessions at the Wood Component Manufacturers Association's meeting
in October and had a booth in their expo. Both opportunities allowed
WMIA to spread the word about the benefits of working with WMIA
members.
All Customers Are not
Created Equal
The management team in every firm is
intuitively aware that all customers are not the same in terms of
the profits they generate. Some customers purchase a lot of
merchandise, others purchase only a little. In addition, some
customers are aggressive price buyers while others are more
interested in service. Qualitatively, some customers are easy to
deal with, while others are a pain.
