The Challengers Award¨ focuses on companies that have distinguished themselves by developing innovative technology in products, services or manufacturing techniques. Schroeder is replacing Jim Costello, who is leaving at the end of this year. DETAILS Woodworking Equipment Sales Up for the First Half of 2002 Contributed by Modern Woodworking First and second quarter sales in 2002 of woodworking equipment increased dramatically from third and fourth quarter sales in 2001. Machining centers, planers, jointers, wood lathes and ripsaws were the biggest leaders. DETAILS Study Sees Cabinet Demand Increasing Through 2006 Contributed by Wood & Wood Products A new study by The Freedonia Group Inc. projects U.S. cabinet demand to increase to $15.6 billion by 2006, an annual growth rate of 6.8%.
