WMIA Recognizes Roche, Clemons

The Woodworking Machinery Industry Association recognized two men who played key roles in establishing the organization and helping it grow. WMIA's former legal counsel, Tom Roche, and executive vice president, Cal Clemons, attended the group's awards banquet in November and were recognized for their contributions to WMIA.

Roche served as WMIA's legal counsel for more than 20 years until his retirement in the 1990s. His counsel helped WMIA grow from a fledgling association to a leader

in the Woodworking Industry. He was a partner in the firm of Halfpenny, Hahn & Roche during his involvement with WMIA and took a personal interest in the association, forming friendships within the industry that continue today.

Clemons' management firm, Clemons & Associates, Inc., served as WMIA's headquarters from the 1980s until earlier this year. The company provided the support services that kept WMIA running throughout the years and Clemons, who served as executive vice president, played a leading role with the association in all of its activities.

Thank yous go out to Anthony Lynn and Stephen Lockert of Castle, Inc. and James Booth of Carve 3D for their donations to Shiloh High School, a participant in the WoodLINKS program.

The students pictured in with the machine helped unload it. All of the students are very excited about the new

machine and how easy it is to use. The students from left to right are John White, Justin Kremitski, Tony Dickson, Justin Schwab, Kyle Prouse, Skyler Dorsett, and sitting down is Jon Kincaid. The students are surrounded by the cabinet job they were preparing to install on December 9.
