David Rothwell of Stiles Machinery, Inc. in Grand Rapids, Michigan was elected to serve a two-year term as president of the Woodworking Machinery Industry Association at the group's meeting in April.
Rothwell is a longtime participant in WMIA's leadership, serving a three-year term on the board of directors in the mid-90s and two-year terms as treasurer, secretary-treasurer and vice president from 2003-2009. He chaired WMIA's Bylaws, National Affairs and Marketing Committees, and has also served as one of WMIA's representatives to the International Woodworking Fair since 1998. He was the chairman of IWF 2004.
Joining Rothwell in leading WMIA are Vice President John Henderson, Woodworkers Emporium and Secretary/Treasurer John Park, Delmac Machinery Group. Tom Reisert, Edward B. Mueller, Co., Inc., will continue to serve on the board as Immediate Past President.
