LAS VEGAS — SCM Group USA was awarded a Sequoia New Product Award for its Rapid Tool Locking device for moulders. The award was announced during the recently held AWFS Vegas Fair.

Winning the award for the category of Product Innovation & Productivity -- Tooling, the Rapid Tool Locking device uses a combination of air pressure and hand strength, thereby eliminating the need for lock-down wrenches and body torque, said a spokesman for SCM. According to the company, the system helps decrease changeover time while improving productivity.
