Delmac to hold Profit Solutions Seminar in November

September 23, 2009

GREENSBORO, NC — Delmac Machinery Group will hold its next Profit Solutions Seminar at its Greensboro, NC, facility on November 4 or 5, where the company will build traditional furniture engineered by Delmac and A.G. Raymond and Co. using dowel construction and 21st century machine technology, according to the company.

The educational sessions have been scheduled to allow participants to attend two sessions each day. The morning session, “Implementing Lean Manufacturing for the Cabinet and Furniture Industry” will review the key steps to becoming lean, equipment organization and product design to achieve a smooth workflow, increase production and reduce floor space. The afternoon session, “Implementing Dowel Construction in Casegoods and Furniture Manufacturing,” will involve the manufacturing of both a cabinet and a nightstand utilizing nested-base machining and dowel construction. These two sessions together will show how employing the latest in machinery technology coupled with process speed by smart and efficient factory flow can take dollars out of the process and add them to a company's bottom line, Delmac says.
