Survey says most buyers likely to attend IWF 2010

Atlanta, GA -- IWF 2010 will be held Aug. 25-28, 2010, at the Georgia World Congress in Atlanta, GA. More than 700 contracted exhibitors have made the decision that IWF will continue to give their business the best opportunity to achieve their sales and marketing objectives for 2010.

These exhibiting companies from all over the world have made a commitment to IWF and the industry to showcase the best technology, ideas and education available to the marketplace. Industry professionals know their road from recovery to thriving again in the marketplace will be made possible by the companies that are investing in the industry now to secure a strong future in all wood and non-wooded based sectors.

Thousands of key decision-makers invest their time and money to visit IWF every two years for the most informative four days of answers to the industry's challenges.

IWF conducted an electronic attendance interest survey on Dec. 14 to previous attendees of the 2006 and 2008 Fairs. The results were a positive indicator for IWF 2010, as 28.26% indicated they would "definitely attend;" 38.46% indicated they were "very likely to attend," and 23.41% responded they were "somewhat likely" to attend IWF 2010.

"It's difficult out there and we understand the challenges everyone is facing as the whole industry looks for ways to move from treading water to heading upstream. The fact is we have 700 companies that are making a strong statement by deciding to invest their marketing dollars in IWF 2010 to reach their potential buyers and we will do everything we can to ensure they do," said Riccardo Azzoni, IWF 2010 Chairman and President of Atlantic Machinery Corporation, based in New Milford, CT.

"There are exhibitors who have had to make some very difficult choices, and we understand that and respect their decisions and look forward to thse companies exhibiting at IWF again in the future. We have a commitment to the industry to showcase the best industry has to offer in machinery, supplies and services and we will continue to do what we have always done, which is to bring buyers and exhibitors together at IWF," commented Patrick LaFramboise, President and CEO of the International Woodworking Machinery & Furniture and Supply Fair-USA.

IWF will conduct 21 sessions at the 2010 Technical Conference and 5 conference tracks, such as Business Management, Production Strategy, Manufacturing Techniques, Green/Environmental and Non-Wood bases sessions. IWF will also feature industry-specific half-day and full-day educational symposiums.
