GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Leitz Tooling Systems, a member of the worldwide leading manufacturing group of machine tools for processing wood and advanced materials, announced the appointment of Bill Cariano to the position of President, overseeing United States and Canadian operations. Cariano was most recently with Stiles Machinery.

Leitz Tooling Systems is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Leitz GmbH & Co. KG, which has been headquartered in Oberkochen, Germany for 136 years, and employs 4,700 worldwide. Leitz Tooling Systems is headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI, with a manufacturing facility in Jasper, IN, as well as 11 service centers across the United States and Canada.

Bill Cariano was the first President (1985-1989) for Leitz Tooling Systems. In 2010, the company is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
