Educate Us about Education
Over the last several years, WMIA’s Educational Foundation has provided scholarships to college students and high school seniors to help them continue their education in the woodworking industry. At the same time, as sponsor of the Wood Technology Industry Institute’s (WTII) Boot Camp, WMIA has demonstrated its commitment to helping enhance the skills of our member companies’ employees.
In the coming year, WMIA will be focusing a great deal of attention on developing educational programs. But to ensure that the work the Association does provides as much value as possible to our members, we’d like your opinion as to which area we should focus more effort on:
- Providing education opportunities to build the skill sets of our members’ employees, or
- increasing public awareness of our industry so that more young people see the woodworking industry as a viable career path.
Please answer our brief, three-question survey, which can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WL7BYSN.
If you choose to provide your contact information, you will be entered into a drawing to win a free registration to the 2018 Woodworking Industry Conference (WIC), which will be held May 1-4, 2018, in Maui, Hawaii!
We’d appreciate a response by Friday, March 17. Thanks in advance for your input!!
WMIA Chairman of the Board
